1947, the unsteady socio-political state of affairs effected the nation for so long. The newly born state was trying to establish its identity. The search for that own separate identity got exploited by different people through different tactics. Sometimes, India’s deterrence made our policies and sometimes religion was the target to subjugate political aims. The blind struggle witness many military coups in Pakistan. Keeping all the military coups and today’s GDP portion in military budget our only guardian and admiration is army.
Our foremost inclination towards atomic bomb was because of our neighbor’s development of nuclear bomb in 1974. Since then the race of nuclear weapons is continued.
Pakistan has the strongest nuclear securities in the world. Sovereignty of a state is not described by how many nuclear warheads you have, sovereignty is the representation of a centralized government in which all the locals follow rules and regulations and live protected lives. Today we are the nuclear power but are we safe and sound? We create a complete deterrence; do we create a better lifestyle for our people? We spent billions of dollars on defense budget, but how we will defend our children from hunger, literacy and malnutrition. Now Pakistan is pushing forward to nuclear submarine in response to Indian First nuclear submarine program. As noting down the raising technologies we are penetrating ourselves in the arms race.
