Since a long time transgender are not a part of our societies. The birth of a transgender in any home is the embarrassment for the whole relatives and community. We are reluctant to tell our children that we all belong to the same creator. Lack of early education given by parents gives the jurisdiction to everyone to humiliate and harass them. When we accept every different thing the creator has made then why it is difficult to recognize them as third gender. Besides as third gender more important thing is to provide them each facility so that they don’t have to struggle differently for basic needs.

Unlike others Monica Shahi has made history as Nepal is the latest country in acknowledging transgender on passport. Like others Monica had encounter the worst behaviors of her own family and society and ran away from home. Fortunately after she left she found a welcoming transgender society and where she become a human right activist by joining Blue Diamond Society who advocate to improve human rights of Nepal minorities. In 2013 Nepal issued its first citizenship card with “other” category, those who don’t want to include themselves in male or female. Therefore in 2015 the first passport with “o” gender category was issued to Monica. In 16 Sep 2015 a new constitution was passed for LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) people from discrimination, violence and abuse.

Nepal in 2007, India in 2009, Bangladesh had given the right to vote in 2009 and accepted as third gender in 2013 has also officially recognized transgender as third gender. In 2009 Government of Pakistan not only recognized its transgender minority as respectful citizen but also gave them the Right to Vote. Germany, New Zealand and Australia have also included a third gender category. In America non-binary transgender are still fighting for their Rights. Likewise NGO’ S and other organizations are taking part in changing academic principles and orthodox norms of societies. There are still several thousands of transgender living around the world who have no policies, rules and protections.
