Chetan Bhagat is an Indian novelist and this is my first reading from his novels. Story going to grip you as it takes interesting turns and ups and downs of a girl who’s independent in her life. The writer has successfully conveyed a girl’s perspective and how a girl is judged by the society. The end result of story was quiet good as it point up the actual meaning of feminism.
Marriage is not the solution of everything what important is your clarity between your mind and heart. Family does play an important role in building your personality. It gives you the self confidence and faith in yourself. Therefore it’s very necessary to make a strong foundation at the very beginning.
Unfortunately women these days are under so many social norms and conditions that it becomes suffocated. The rules that define women have gone too high that sometimes it scares me. The beauty and perfection what media shows depress people. Besides beauty and all, a girl is set to be in certain criteria that she should fulfill. There is a need to change those mind sets and stereotypes.
